Dancers at the International Eisteddfod
If you've ever been to the International, you'll recognise this sort of scene. This is a dance troupe from the sub-continent preparing for their 'turn' in the big tent. Of course this painting is really a portrait. The main bloke here was waiting along with his mates and was very aware that passing people were 'rubber-knecking' them. Their costumes were lively and eye-catching, and he definitely enjoyed the attention. And why not?
