The Theatre of War series tells the story of Marko, a Serbian soldier who upon becoming a prisoner of war in two different Prisoner of War Camps in World War One, found himself enrolled as the female lead in the POW Theatre Groups. This painting is a backstage look at Marko as he prepares for his next show as a colleague rehearses his number.
