The Choir of the O.L.-Vrouwekerk in Breda with the Tomb of Engelbert II of Nassau  1843

The 15th-century Counts of Nassau were the direct ancestors of King William II. Their tomb in the church of Onze-Lieve-Vrouw in Breda was famous –it was even thought to have been made by Michelangelo. Bosboom painted the figures in 17th-century clothing.
