Taita Falcon (Falco fasciinucha)
2016
This artwork is part of a publication of seven rare and endangered species of bird of prey, from each of the seven continents. The commission from the Natural History Museum is a long term agreement to produce the birds of prey, all being raptors, within the next ten years. A miniscule publication of twenty lithographs have been produced of each chosen bird of prey, which includes, a signed and numbered limited edition print , a certificate of authenticity and an eight page reference booklet explaining the birds habitat, diet , behaviour and diversity. The publication of the seven birds is due in mid October and will be titled "Seven bird for seven continents". The seven lithographs come mounted on museum cotton line board ( to ensure no acidity damages these rare prints ) , and are housed in a deluxe card box for prosperity.
The original paintings are owned by the Natural History Museum, who have fifty percent of the copyright, the remaining fifty percent remains with the artist.
