Jos and Lucie Hessel in the Small Salon, Rue de Rivoli  1905

by Édouard Vuillard

After the Natansons were divorced in 1904, Vuillard shifted his familial attachment from them to the art dealer Jos Hessel and his wife, Lucie, who received the artist every evening at six.
