Erzsébet Vaszkó is a Hungarian painter and a graphic artist ( 1902 - 1986 ). Erzsébet Vaszkó was a pupil of János Vaszary at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (UME) between 1925 and 1929 . She was noticed and praised by critics as Károly Lyka and Artúr Elek. In the 1940s, she moved and worked in the region Máramaros . Her works are presented at the Venice Biennale in 1940 . She exhibited at the House of Creation (Alkotás Művészházban) in 1944 and the Ernst Museum in Budapest in 1947 . She became a member of the European School in 1945 and the Association of New Artists (UME). From the year 1950 , she is a graphic designer for the company to design Hungarian industrial and architectural IPARTERV. Later, she practiced painting for many years to Szentendre where she member and co-founder of the Graphic Lab Szentendre (Szentendrei Grafikai Műhelynek) in 1980. She is the sister of the painter Ödön Vaszkó (1896-1945). [source]
