Westfield Mill

This is an acrylic painting of a former watermill by the river Ericht, near the town of Blairgowrie, north east Perthshire, Scotland.

I painted the mill with the intention that it would form part of a children's picture book. It still might, so I won't say what the idea is. Not yet!
I also planned to paint a series of paintings of the watermills of the area. All of whom were long abandoned their waterwheels lying rotting in the water aside from the few who had either been redeveloped as in one case, a block of flats, another as this one, a store of sorts for it's owner.
