The Adoration of the Magi 1585
by Paolo Farinati
Characteristic of Farinati’s work are the dramatic and exaggerated poses of his figures. This shows the influence of Michelangelo and his followers. His soft brushstrokes and loose handling, however, are more reminiscent of Venetian painters such as Titian and Tintoretto.
