  1. I grew up in this area and I believe the painting is from the perspective of a spot in Tiverton RI. It appears to painted from Fogland Point looking south along the Sakonnet River which is actually an arm of Narragansett Bay. The painting is focused on High Hill Point which straddles the line between Tiverton and Little Compton RI.
