Remember the time

I am a painting woman painting women, in particular, on large canvases, as well as free work commissioned (in my free style). For my free work I often work initially based on a photo - just for the contours and proportions. Once the sketch is finished on the canvas, the photo is put aside and the image changes almost completely in favour of the atmosphere, the use of paint and the composition.

Some time ago I was inspired by this special lady whom I read a story about: Carole Lombard, a beautiful actress who has become known as the muse of Hitchcock (and was married to Clark Gable. Besides her great acting career (she belongs to the "All Time Favourite artistst") she was also a tough and courageous woman. She has for example, received (posthumously) the 'Medal Of Freedom’ by President Fr. Roosevelt for her commitment during the beginning of the 2nd World War. Anyway, long story short, an inspiring woman, a beautiful strong woman whose ins and outs was a wonderful base for one of my paintings …
