Oil on Panel, 36"x 54"
The figure in this painting was named Guy Thompson. Along with his friend Charlie Levy (who was wheelchair bound) would stand everyday in all types of weather and ask for money outside of a Homedepot here in Philadelphia. They were well known characters having held their position at that location for years. At one point a University of Pennsylvania film student did a documentary about them. I became friendly with them on my many trips to the store. I finally asked if they would pose for me which they gladly did. Unfortunately both of them died before this painting was completed.
$10,000
