Bossi was born in Trieste. He worked in most of the countries of central Europe, and his reputation rivaled that of his contemporary Jean-Baptiste Isabey (see for example 62.122.88 and 08.60). He was in St. Petersburg from 1802, leaving for Paris in 1812. He became a member of the Vienna Academy in 1815. Bossi died in Munich. [br] Polish by origin, Count Alexander Ivanovi...
