Birnam Oak

by John Halvorsen

An acrylic painting of the world famous Birnam Oak. One of the oldest trees in Scotland and of course synonymous with William Shakespeare's play MacBeth. The original wood has long since ceased to exist. The oak is now very old and like many older people. It's limbs need supported by wooden posts. Like walking sticks.
