I deployed myself in painting and writing in a torrid manner. Soon I realized that monotony of the beaten path can be altered in a better way but in the world of arts and literature, it does not bring recognition. For this, one has to invent an individual version from within the common style.

Meanwhile, my studies finished, I had joined government of India’s broadcasting medium ‘All India Radio’, where working for experimental and innovative programmes I earned several national and international laurels; some, also in the fields of painting and literature.

But eventually at one point felt clearly that among the fast changing tools and means of art, water-colour is the only medium that new emergence of an engulfing technology has not been able to defeat. Through creative struggle in this medium I must carve out a singular identity for myself.

After journeying for a long time through entangled avenues I found myself at that end of water-colours where my works could be immediately identified, as that of none other than Prabhu Joshi’s.
