Adoration of the Magi

A work of his Cretan period, it reflects the obvious influence of the stylistic experiments carried out by Titian and Tintoretto. The icon, painted in Chandax (Herakleion) on part of an old chest, was executed between 1565 and 1567; it has been established that during this period there were paintings by leading Italian artists on Crete.
