This painting was based on a mixed media work produced circa 1959 when I was an art student. It appeared in a sketchbook and included a collaged magazine photo of the British actress and film star Kay Kendall (1926-59) who tragically died from leukaemia aged 32. The original work combined surrealism and pop art.
